About Andre Tate
Andre R. Tate was a unique man.
He was a man of honor, class and integrity. He was soft spoken, loving, and always wore the biggest smile. Andre Tate honorably served in the United States Air Force for four years, and then moved on to a career in law enforcement that spanned 30 years. Andre began his services to the citizens of California with the California Highway Patrol in 1982 - 1988 with Baldwin Park CHP. He graduated from the California Highway Patrol Academy, and continued with the Department of Justice in 1988 - 1997, and then became a member of the California Department of Corrections Office of Internal Affairs as a Supervising Special Agent. Andre, sadly and tragically passed on November 13, 2012 from a thoracic aortic aneurysm. Those who were fortunate enough to have known him will forever be extremely saddened. He performed some heroic acts during his watch, but remained humble and caring. He loved children and tried to positively effect their future. He provided the time, effort and energy to do what he could to make a profound difference in children's lives. His heroic life accomplishments and all that he shared with those fortunate enough to have known him will always be remembered. He is and will always be a hero. |
